Recently bought an '87 Mayfair, but it will not be on the road for minimum 1 year, so what do I do about SORN? Not sure if previous owner had registered it, so how do I find out?

You can type in the reg and make on the vehicle enquiry, and you can declare sorn too.

has sorn being permanent kicked in yet, or do you still have to redo it every year, so they can try and fine you if you forget

It will still have to be freshly SORNed after a change of ownership, the continuous SORN only applies to a single owner.

SORN my Mini a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping not to have to do it this year. Hopefully the rolling SORN will kick in next year.
