HI all what do you guys use to help put in the filler strip

i have heard to use washing up liquid with the special tool but that contains salt

 

what do you guys use

KY jelly and the diamond shaped tool thingy.

 

Only KY wont break down the rubber seal

Bend a wire coat hanger to a diamond shape, you can tac weld the wire together to make a stem/ handle and use that

Hellerine oil is the best by far. If you are close to Tamworth, I have plenty so could spare you some. Makes the job 10x easier.

I heard on here that furniture polish works well, so I used that.

Be careful with WD40, it's a bugger if you get it on the window glass.

Car wash wax works and has no corrosive salt.

Recentley done mine, about £10 for the tool ( ebay Minimine ) and used furniture polish. Mask the body work round window before you start to help stop any damage if you slip. Dont be tempted to try and use a screwdriver.
