yeah was in minimag about 6 years ago now. only done about 2000 miles since then.  killed the supercharger so had to have a re think on the engine so after trying twin bike carbs, twin su's, i finally binned the blower and built a turbo setup using an mgzr diesel turbo and fiesta rs turbo intercooler on custom manifolds.  the wheels are force racing exacton mini special 2 piece split rims.  they are the original wheels converted. the rars need a polish though. i havent even washed it for 3 years whilst trying to sort out the engine stuff.

as for the hinges, they are original ones with a spacer and i rang around a few companies to get 2 short gas struts and just bolted them in. i used a longer bolt for the top shocker mount bracket and bolted them onto that.

thanks for the comments. just got an oil leak to sort out then it should be good for a set up session and MOT.

Awesome car! Love every bit of it. Really like the early Sprite decals too, don't usually see them. Bet it's rapid too!

Dear Mr Stu,

I find your car extremely visually pleasing and your motor interests me greatly. What sort of spec is it?

I love a turbo motor with a tidy intercooler set up like this.

very impressive indeed, it's not just all looks with this one hey?

What sort of power does that make? I don't think I have seen the GT1549 before, how do you find it on your 1330?

I see you are running megajolt, Have you ever run a distributer on your forced induction engine? If so how do you find they compare?

Sorry for the abnormal amount of interest, just seems to have really grabbed my attention and thought I would ask.

Mostly home build is it? Credit to yourself I would say.

i havent had it running properly with the turbo yet. just finishing the turbo build.  it should be quite good though.  i did run megajolt but binned it for a canems setup. quite similar to a megajolt but i think it is better designed.

i tried to run a dizzy at first with the blower, but you need advance then retarding on boost so i went for the ecu type.   its all home build, yes. no probs.
