How do i know if the carb is a 1.25 1.5 or 1.75 Su is there any clues. Would like to identify it if i am to mail order a K&N filter

tried the coil still is the same. sorry i sound a pain lol.. Haven't checked the needle screw guessing you take the dashpot screws out and lift the dashpot out?
yes that's correct also check valve clearances as well.

Nooo sorry its at my father in laws (to be) so can't get to do it until thursday..
Bit of an update as everything else was imo up to scratch for the MOT it went today and passed. I know the tester and he kindly adjusted the mixture as it failed on emissions on the first run. He said he adjusted the mixture for it to pass and its running alot better now. (so he says) I've told my father in law to give it a blast round the block to see how its running and see if its got any misfires/stuttering. so will get back to you peeps. Just needs some tax and its ready for the road.
