I'm thinking of getting a 6 point roll cage in my mini but how does the front part bolt in we're does it bolt to thanks

it's just a thick rectangular bit of metal used to spread the load 

 

with out it the cage legs could just punch through the floor or pull the bolts through the floor

As said, the cage uses spreader plates mounted through the floor. Internally the plates should be welded to the sills/floorpan and be made of 3mm steel. Its also a good idea to use an external plate to reduce any chance of the bolts pulling through in the event of a roll.

 

Is this for competition use?

Okay thank I see what you mean I just dont want my mini to have big bolts hanging out the bottom

And no it's for road use it a weekend road car
