Wipers are overshooting the windscreen and dont seem to be parking properley. would this be the wiper motors fault or something else?

Should I edit the title to Wipers?

It's not just the fit of the wiper arms? If they are stopping the same angle up the screen as they are overshooting they just need refitting on the spindles. Otherwise give the arms a wiggle, if one arm wiggles on it's own it's likely to be the wheel box, if the wiggling is a synchronised as Torvel 'n Dean is more likely to be at the motor end.

make sure they are set right at the base of the windscreen, on a very wet day the might over shoot slightly when on top speed...

Its something that has gradually got worse, but they don't seem to park themselves now now either, I have to switch them off at the correct moment.ill have a look tomorrow.

I would say over 50% of the minis on the road, dont have wipers that park themself... The park switches arent very long lasting.

Check that the drive rack casing (the tube) is tightly fastened to the motor. Often the nut loosens, most likely because it is in an awkward place under the scuttle and does not get tightened properly.

The wheelboxes etc are all obtainalbe and can be replaced individually if worn, but one trick is to disconnect the rack (inner cable) from the motor (take the gear cover off) and turn it 190 degrees so the wheelbox gears are running on the unworn side.
