If you run two 2 ohm speakers in parallel they will be running at 1 ohm.

That sub is a dual voice coil. So if you wired the two coils in parallel on both subs it will be running 0.5ohms (I think).

Either way be it 1 or 0.5ohms you will struggle to find an amp that will do that or it'll just be very expensive!

Edit: looking at a ohm calculator online, I believe if you where to run the coils in series and the two subs in parallel you could get them running 2 ohms which would make it easier to find a suitable amp.

Hopefully someone else will confirm what I said to be true! So don't take my word as final, haha.

well i done a little more reading and finally ended up buying two of these -

http://www.caraudiod...dio-12w3v3.html

just noticed the price has gone back up, i got them for £179.99 each :-)

i was going to order a alpine pdx amp to power these but was working out rather expensive so i've left it until i start on installing them bits, at the mo i'll just work on getting the sub enclosures made and fitted

From what I heard of them hertz do some good speeakers in that price range. Focal as well, I think their K2 range is a similar price range and sound pretty good. Would be a good idea to see if you have a listen of them. http://www.highdowncaraudio.com/ are down in worthing do hertz as they are a fourmasters shop.

took a look on their website, didnt have the same hertz ones, so i looked elsewhere and at the car audiodirect price seemed like a good deal so i went ahead and ordered them :-) it'll be a while before i can test them out as i have alot of interior work to do to get them fitted plus i still need to order my amps
