iv just rattle canned my front valance and it started raining about 5 - 10 mins after iv finished. is this likely to need to be redone or will rubbing back the laqure be ok do you think? i cant look at her as its now locked in the work carpark but im slightly worried about her.

It will probably have a dimpled effect but depends on how hot it was and type of paint..

Hope it's not that bad...

thank you. it was halfords rattle cans. the paint was dry but the laqure might not have been by then. not too worried by the look as its juat the valance and my other car is hammerite BUT i dont want it to cause it to rot it out

you may get away with a light flatten and polish. how many coats of laquer did you apply?

Put some photos up. I have had this happen to me more than once. Some times it can be saved others I have had to redo it.

In the idea world you would be best off redoing it, but this isn't always practical. The fact it's your front valance and not an upward facing flat surface like a bonnet or roof means you may be able to save it.

I'm so lucky, just looked and it's fine, bit of water on it but it must have dried first as it wiped off clean :-) thank you for all your advice though as im sure I'll need to use it at some point lol
