Hi All,

I own a 1992 Spi Mini Cooper. There is a noise coming from my nearside rear whenever my suspension moves, from the outside a squeaking noise can be heard. Last september I had a spring conversion done by a garage. As the rear doesnt have a bump stop, could it be the shock absorber?

Thanks in advance,

Nic

It could be a loose nut that secures the shock absorber to the wheelarch. If you open the boot and look on the right hand side you will see the nut securing the right shock. The left one is difficult to access because of the fuel tank....

Maybe some grease in the trunnion? Squeaking suggests dry bushes/bearings...
