Ive gone and done it.  Wifeys off to walk Mount Snowdon over the weekend and later today i've arranged to pick up a 1965 Morris Mini Minor.  The seller has just put a fresh mot on it for me.

So i am very excited but tempered with nerves as i hand over the sort of cash that could get you a 2006 Jag x-type or a 2002 325 convertable (like i'm gonna want to be seen driving anything like that).

Will it break down on the way home?  Will it rattle itself to bits above 50mph?  Will the paint all peel off to reveal a load of filler?  Lets hope not.  Actually it does seem to be a very genuine little car with the proper 4 vent sill etc etc and I have to keep telling myself its a long term thing anyway, even if does need some work.

Then when WIfey gets back on Monday and peers in the garage, shes gonna kill me...

Very brave or suicidal?? O_O  O_O lets hope for you that

A- the car is as good as gold and looks and goes well.

B- Wifey had a good weekend with no issues and that she enjoyed herself.

Also invest in some ear plugs and remove all sharp implements from the house and make sure the first aid kit is fully stocked up and to hand. :D  :D

Yes, I could move into the garage.

Thought i'd post a pic taken prior to purchase, how can she fail to fall in love, again:
