Hello,
I have been looking at this mini on eBay and wondered if anyone could let me know how easy it would be to re spray the front end inc A panels to match the rest of the car as I don't think it was colour matched when done. Also would anyone know how much it would cost? From A panel to A panel including the wings, front and bonnet...
Thanks
Rob

Could it be that the door has been replaced at some point? May be just the door that needs a respray.

it looks to me as though the door has been replaced with another red door of a different paint code, I dont think it would be too expensive to respray if youve got the kit do it yourself.

I think that just the picture, the person listing has stated that the whole front end was replaced and re sprayed due to rust, just don't think it was that good of a re spray... Thanks for your help through...

best thing to do then is just go and see it, dont put any money down or anything just go and have a look, if it is a slightly different shade and you dont mind haggle him down

It is very easy to get a poor colour match like you have there and it isn't an uncommon thing. The more I look at the photo the more I think that it is the front section of the car is the colour which is out, I mean if you compare the door to the roof they are the same tone.

How easy would it be to sort this? I think you could improve it greatly fairly easily but it will take a lot of time and effort to get a 100% panel match. Personally this wouldn't put me off of the car (providing it is priced accordingly) as there are a lot of cars out there needing the front panels replaced, which in turn means they would need painting. The panels have been done here and its just the paint which needs sorting.

Personally I would take this as an opportunity to repaint the whole car.
