I want to put a water temp warning light in my switch pod so it's more noticeable if i ever finish and get to a track day and something goes wrong.
Just wondering what the high temp actually is on a normal temp gauge? I found this kit that comes with sensor and wiring to fit straight in but they only seem to be available for 110o C and wasn't sure if this was too high?

If so is it possible to adjust this with a resistor or something (sorry i'm pretty rubbish with electrics/electronics) or is there another way to do it?
They also do the same for oil temp which is 270o F but if i remember rightly best temp is around 230o F?
Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't want to get my switch pod laser cut for all the warning lights then find i can't get it to work.
Cheers
