my wiper will not don't switch off after switching them on, they don't come on unless i switch them on. sometime they switch off after a little while. the intermediate setting does not seem to work most of the time but does sometime i.e they just stay on like on setting 1 ). i though that it only happen when it was getting damp some how and shorting but when i switch them on today ( hot weather) they are saying on. even when switching the engine and electrics are turn off that normally kill them and they only come on when i ask again, but today even after ten mins or so i turn the electrics on and they are come on even with the switch is off.

can any help me problem solve what is going on and how to fix the problem and where to look

thx ian

hi, it could possibly be a broken wiper park switch? as if it isn't working then the motor will keep going until it finds its park position (which it won't do if the park switch is broken)

thanks

if its not the park switch check the e-clip on th back of the gear spindle is in place, if its missing the gear spindle will ride over the top of the park microswitch

park switch...easy to get to, just take ya time.

get a new loom, somtimes the connection block siezes and you have to man handle it off and it breaks, i had a spare just incase, but soaked the hell out of it with WD40 and prised it loose (it took a while)
