Hi,

I have recently changed my rear rubber cones for new ones and look what happened...

The wheel is on the ground, there’s no jack our stand.

Have I bought the wrong rubber cones!?

Can any one explain me what’s happening?

Thanks

Then it's probably fine.  See what it's like with 2 bags of sand in the boot.

Oh, and try releasing the handbrake if you haven't already.

Is the knuckle seated correctly in the cup on the radius arm.

I'd say something along those lines too. I can't see the car settling that much.

To add to my last post my sons Project is just a rolling shell and even that does not sit that high and his has got all brand new suspension on it including hi lo's which I might add we have not wound down yet. Oh and nothing in the boot either .

try inserting the rear damper in the inner wheel arch.

As above it looks like the rear damper is fowling the arch. Fit the damper into the arch socket and it will sit better

That definantly to me looks like something isn't seated properly and my guess is what Sonk said and the knuckle isn't seated in the arm properly, or into the cup, as often happens, I just fitted some yesterday and this happened to me a few times especially if your trying to get the shocks sorted at the same time, the shock looks out In The picture as well but that might be due to you not being able to tighten it and get it into the wheel arch in the first place

As midridge says - The damper isn't in is it? It looks like the damper isn't through the rear arch.

Are you suggesting that the damper acts as a check strap?
