In the summer I will usually pass a few British cars, Triumphs, Jags, etc and usually get that nod of recognition as I pass in my Mini. However, I've noticed that every time I am behind or pass an MGB its like they choose to not even acknowledge your existence. What's their beef? Anyone every experience this? Haha

Haha my brother in law drives an MGB. I know he acknowledges other MGs but not sure about other classics. I'd give him too much grief for being a snob if I caught him though!

It's not just minis...I used to drive a '65 Mk1 Triumph 2000, and MG's always blanked me aswell. Other Triumph owners (apart from Stags usually) always seem friendly though.

MG owners beef is probably that they couldn't afford a Triumph...   ;D

I drive an MGB GT as a daily and will happily acknowledge anyone who waves. I am not one to go waving at every one first though to be honest. I wouldn't flash a mini (so to speak) in the MG or an MG in the MIni. At the end of the day there is no rule either way so whatever you want I suppose. Saying that I used to pass a midget 2-3 times a week and he would never even glance, miserable sod. The reason MG drivers don't acknowledge triumph drivers is because we are looking for escape routes for when your appalling rear suspension catches you out again or the dire V8 explodes ;-)
