Hi

I have a 1998 MPI Cooper Sport. Just recently it has developed an intermittent fault.

Every so often the engine stall as you change from first to second when accelerating away.

Seems when you put the clutch in to change up it cuts out.

When every it happens it seems to be after its warmed up.

Never does it when first pulling away from cold.0

It always after run a few miles and up to temp and you stop (turn off /park up) then set off again a few mins later.

I am guessing its a sensor somewhere any suggestion which one or how to test.

Cheers

Mike

You need a scanner on it and check all the sensors when the engine is running. Best way to check them is with live data. It gets expensive to change them out one at a time.

Does fan come on straight away.
