Hi,

I was thinking of pickup up an old school graphic equalizer for the mini, but need a little bit of info into how they work in conjunction with the head unit and amplifier... Would they even all work together? Has anyone done it? Any extra information would be great, I know I'm being a bit vague in my question...

Thanks!

I would think they would be placed in between the HU and amp. So plug the Hu to the EQ, then out from the EQ to the amp.

As above. I would imagine the graphic EQ would have RCA inputs and outputs.

How you power the EQ unit would be another issue.

Older units tend to introduce noise in to the system and have a high noise floor. I use the old Skool RF EPX2's in all my cars and they have high noise floor. But I live with it as the EPX is such an awesome unit in everyother way.

Also always CUT not BOOST, as boosting will introduce distortion, even clipping if you go to far.
