Close to getting my engine build finished and time to think about plugs........

What would you recommend for a fast road 1380 (286, 10:1, Aldon dizzy & coil) and should I use something slightly cooler for the initial running in with a hot set for later use?

Thanks,

Bob

you'll get many diffrent opinions on this

id try the BP6ES, i run them with a 11:1 CR so at a guess they should be fine, the 7s are for very hot combustion and sound like marmite, some swear by them others wouldnt touch them with a bare pole

the 7s are cheaper anyway so you can try them if you want, and if they get fouled or missfire bin them

Yes mate put mine in from the word go never had any problems --- BUT you need to be aware that if your mixture is on the rich side the colder running plug (7s) may not run hot enough to burn the deposits off and a misfire will be the result. So if you setup is correct and mixture is in the ballpark then you wont have a issue. Just something worth pointing out.

And please anybody reading this who has a rich mixture PLEASE DONT THINK BY RUNNING HOTTER PLUGS WILL SORT IT, I dont want people showing me pistons with holes in and cars that run on when shut off. ^_^
