It wasn’t me that stated it was easy and quick, that was you !
Unless 2 mins with barely any equipment is difficult and time consuming?

Surely two minutes of work doesn't require 6 pages of text to describe?

It is easy to do, but more complicated to explain. It has to be done accurately or the readings are way out. That accuracy requires a longer explanation.

It take me about 2 minutes to do the check, but thats with 20 years of experience of use that method.

And again you are trying to comment on a technical process that you don't understand/have no knowledge of. Therefore you would have no understanding of how long it will take to teach the correct process to people. In other words you are not qualified to comment on the time needed.

Secondly if you want free information from someone, trying to force them to give you that info for free is not the way to do it.

I’ve measured cam timing with degree wheels and DTI’s for 30 yrs. I worked in R&D at Longbridge too ( doing NVH) till 2000, but I’m not too old to think I should stop learning and I’m always open to shortcuts that make life easier.
These forums are for sharing knowledge rather than generating business leads. Sorry to have troubled you

As I said here in an earlier post;

'I will do a video later this year when I have a suitable vehicle to do it on.'

And I can't see where I have generated a 'business lead' on this thread.

Other people are more than capable of coming up with a process of checking the cam timing without you needing me, there are even videos on YouTube showing different methods without using a degree wheel or dial gauge. Just look.
Now if someone wants to come up with a 'good' video showing how to do it, I will even share it for them, as it saves me the time to shoot, edit and review one, because it actually costs me money in lost time to make every video I post.
