7year project still going.

1974 Mini 1000

Since a massive overhall a few years ago she's been used as a everyday run around and has seen her fair share of the county back roads.

Decided it was about time to strip and rebuild everything under the bonnet

Moving to a workshop to have new sills fitted and paint under the bonnet. I've removed all the grub and then sanded down to metal ready for prime and paint.

Thank you for reading.

Looks great, my first Min was a 1973 Mini 1000. It looks in better nick than the 1998 Cooper I bought! Keep up the good work

Thanks mate, yeah just a bit of tidying up and cleaning to be honest, really enjoying it.

I can't remember the exact colour but yeah something like that, I'm going to do some more sanding tomorrow so I will find out and let you know man.

I'm basically doing the same as you (with out the engine out bit). Mines a 1978 1000, in slightly worse condition. it has the exact same dent as yours in the boot! and the sills are patched but solid (for now...) anyway im in the process of sanding the boot to bare metal and it needs some bits replacing and the sills need tidying up :)

Sounds great, it's not as much work as it seems when you get cracking. How's it coming along? Have you got a thread mate?

No thread as of yet, yeah going ok looking to have it back on the road in 3 weeks. Not concourse or anything but good enough for the summer! Will get some pictures up when done. (hope the sunny weather holds out!)

Good luck with yours
