Hi,

Thought I would share. Been working on this car off and on for 3 years. It is a tubeframe rear drive mini hot rod.

Posted Image

Body is fabricated in steel.

Motor is a turbo charged Toyota 4AG putting out 320hp on the engine dyno. Motor is fully built (rods, crank, pistons, dry sump, Formula Atlantiic head etc.) It is driving the rear wheel via a live axle (Chev 8.8) on a 4 link and pannard. Front suspension is fabricated A arms with coil overs at all 4 corners. Just got the car out of the paint shop. Will start to put together. I will add pictures as it goes together.

Cheers

Hi,

The body including arches is in steel.

Choose the 4AG as it is fully developed thanks to the Formula Atlantic series here in North America. No problem to get 275 hp reliable wheel hp with a turbo and an aftermarket FI system.

Cheers

I am interested to know since im looking at sticking a 4A-GE into a mini myself. do you have any pics of the RWD setup installed?

Hi,

I started with the 4AGZE block, rods and crank as they are all stronger. The 20 valve has a similar block but the internals are different. They are lighter, thus unable to take on the big boost. Better to go with a 7 rib (AE 92) or gz block and internals. I am using the 4 throttle bodies from a silver top for the induction. had to fab up an adaptor to make them work.

Will post pics of the drive line shortly.

Cheers
