Hello,

I have a 1993 Rover Mini 1.3i and I have an issue where the immobiliser keeps going off. At first I thought it might have been because I had an old flat battery so I bought a new battery but the problem still persists. Everytime I open the door or try to turn the engine on just goes off and then I have to leave it for 2 mins until it goes off. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,

Chickenbullet

There is pins(more like little buttons) in the door and boot which press in to tell the immobiliser that the door is locked (pressed in) or open (pressed out) , check these are not stuck, I will take a picture of them if u can't find them, other than that hopefully someone on here may know more

When you say go off, you mean the alarm?

I will take a picture today and show u won't I mean, they arnt really pins, more like little buttons they are exactly 2 inches down from the inner hinge, basically if u open the door have a look level with the heater on the door hinge,, its like a little round button u press in (can't take a photo my phones dead then I have to transfer it onto photo bucket, .... There should be one in either door, and when u know what ur looking for u can locate the boot one.... They get jammed quite easily especially if the cars been re sprayed as the paint sticks them in... Or out.

Let me know if u still can't find them and I will post a picture
