:wales: I've got solid mounts on the front subframe and spax coilovers, I'm runnning a 1293 with adjustable boost so was thinking solid mounts as the rubber ones would tear (I feel) any advice? :erm: :erm: :erm:

I suppose if you dont mind the bone shaking ride then the only thing stopping you is the condition of the floor where they mount. When i fitted them i was advised to put a thick steel plate on the inside so that the floor was sandwhiched between the mount and the plate and therefor spreading the load a bit more and putting less stress in one area.

I use solid floor mounts and deflex bushes else where. Also have you got some extra engine steadies ?

:wales: I will have when I make them, I've got deflex on the tie rods and re-enforced the floor mounts as Philster has done but it's the engine mounts I'm not sure about. The only ones I've seen are the deflex quick release and I didn't fancy them, it's only a pin going through the mount that takes all the stresses.

I've always used standard engine mounts from the engine to subframe with no probs. Just add all the extra steadies you can, that way the engine will hardly move.

:wales: Cheers, I made solid engine steadies today and they fitted nicely, tomorrow I'll have another look to see where it's possible to mount some more.
