hi, I have the opportunity to buy a very tidy mini clubman with 20,000 miles genuine on the clock. only thing is I don't really like the clubman front so I wondered whether I could put the front of a mini Mayfair on instead..
like are the fittings the same and sizes etc..
thanks
sam :D

What state is the clubman in? all original?

You can put a mayfair front on, front panel, wings and inner wings.

Why not see if someone will swap then roundnose with your clubby

Why go to all of that effort converting a clubbie to roundnose. Obviously as mentioned if you are going to do a full metal front then you will need all of the roundnose exterior panels upto the A panels and the inner wings.

You would be better off buying a solid roundnose without all of the work.

To be honest a solid good condition clubby is only going to go up in value over a standard roundnose. I maybe biased here as I have a clubbie with low mileage.

Personally if it was original and you are getting it very cheap then it may be worth buying it then moving it on for more cash. Then you will have extra wedge for your roundnose.

I wouldn't butcher it. A few years ago clubbies were the poor relation but the prices have rocketed in the last few years. If its decent and original it would be a crime to muller it. The boxy front end will grow on you.

I can't really buy to sell cute I'm buying from my dads business and it just wouldn't be right.. I might just buy it and keep on the look out for someone to swap :)

dont do it! getting rarer now! the clubby front is nicer anyways :P

definitely not biased! hehehe

if two minis were the same the clubby fronted one would be worth about 200-500 pounds more i would think in contrast

This is making me think now about my 71' clubby estate. I was going to cut the inner wings to allow acces for my suzuki swift conversion, but now thinking about it, I might just cut the front end off, stick on a fibreglass front and keep the original panels, just incase I decide to sell?

As much as I adore my car, I'd be tempted to swap it for a clubby if the opportunity ever arises!
