i think halfords do a paint match service for their rattle cans. so you might want to try that. i'm going to assume the paints been faded from being in the sun making colour matching a pain. so you can either repaint the entire car or just keep trying to get the colour matched.

look in your yellow pages for a paint match shop. maybe a brown brothers or similar. Take a part of the car (or the car?) with you, and they will find a match!

even better, look for an ici approved bodyshop and they can take a laser to your car and zap it for the colour match, only problem with that is it costs loads, lol
otherwise goto car paint supplies and they will try to match as close as they can.
if the paint has faded then it will be harder to do.

Yip, as abov, but try polishing a section of the car.
Nip into halfords and get some rubbing comound/cutting paste.
Apply it with a cloth and keep the paint body wet at all times.
This will cut away the faded paint and expose closer to the true colour below.
You would be surprised and how much colour changes with age.
Else it could be that the car has been resprayed a few shades out of the riginal colour.
What colour is the car ? and where did you get the paint your are spraying ?
If you had it mixed up, again because the quantity is small it is not uncommon to have
a different shade.
On many occasions I have had paint mixed up for cars and had to send for more as the mix was wrong.
The best way you can mathc it is to have it zapped as mentioned above.
they will then mix it up to that shade. Basically what b+q do for home paints.
Good luck..
