Where did you get your paint touched up? And how much did it cost?

A quick break on the way to Grassington. Scary driving with 13inch tyres on the snow !!

Stop off at Hawes before the big climb up Tan Hill

Made it to the top near the Tan Hill inn - the highest pub in Britain, unfortunately they'd just run out of sunday lunches though :-(

Wow, holy thread revival. No updates on this one for a long long time, I still have the mini and it has been through a lot of changes in the last few years. Lots of problems that have kept it off the road. It's now back up and running but doesn't get driven all that much at the moment.

After the Christmas Dales run it was time to face up to the fact that the mini needed some serious body work attention. Appearances can be deceptive and the following pictures should serve as evidence to prove that shiny mini's aren't necessarily sound minis.

I knew that the floor and sills were needing attention and the holes in the foot wells could no longer be ignored

A quick inspection on the ramps - not so bad i hear you say

Subframe's a bit crusty, but that can easily be replaced.

This is where the nightmare starts. a bit of prodding around - yep, the front floors need replacing. More proding , ,  yep, the rear floors need replacing. More prodding . .  inner and outer sills. I'm sure you all get the picture.

Anyhow, after reviewing the situation and having a long chat with the body shop, this happened

Then this happened

and this

nice new paint

And then time to come home

Happy with my now sound mini, I settled into driving it again and learning to love it again. This little love affair lasted precisely 3 months. More pics to follow :-) ............
