I found this on eBay couple of days ago and have been watching in delight at how much the price is going up, considering I've just finished restoring an early GT. Mine isn't as clean as this but is just as original......
I have to say though - there are a few bits on it that I would want for that sort of money. 10" wheels and the correct interior/dash/grille for starters - but that's just me. My car is far from standard (metty turbo, roll-cage, fiesta brakes, partially deaseamed - some of which done by a previous owner so I had no choice) but I've tried to keep the other mods to minimum, original seats, dash, grille and steering wheel were a must for me.
Having said that - 'tis a lovely looking car and nice to see another one back on the road - I'm just being picky ;).
Begs the question how much a boggo standard Mk1 GT will fetch nowadays!

I've seen that car and almost fell off my seat at the price it is going for. I can not see any thing from an early 1275GT on it. It has a squre tunnel body shell, so it has been reshelled. The interior is from a Clubman, not a GT. The dash is an after market one. It should have a remote servo. It should be hydrolastic, not dry.....
That car is about as original as a Gareth Gates cover song.

Tell me about the square-tunnel body shell - what should it look like? Sure mine could've been re-shelled at some point in the past (I did manage to contact the previous owner who did all the modifications but he declined to mention anything about a re-shell so maybe not.....)
EDIT: Just found a thread detailing MK3 bodyshell features......didn't realise about the 4 vent sills when I bought mine and I welded on 6 vent sills dammit. Gonna check the other, harder to check features later, but some of the obvious ones I def. have which is a relief (twin handbrake cable mount and rain gutter drip rails for example).

On an earlier body shell the tunnel has a rounded profile where the gear lever is mounted, not a square profiled one as seen on that Ebay listing.
