Starting Engine Out Of Car

Assuming it's not injected you only need a 12v supply across the coil which is broken by the points in the distributor. So battery +ve on the coil +ve, and a wire from the coil -ve to the points wire from the distibutor. Have the engine earthed to the battery -ve.

 

Make sure the engine is mounted solidly otherwise it could bounce around if it misfires

Hi all.need to start my engine on bench today.has anyone got a wiring diagram to do this please.need asap.cheers.
