Engine Dies When I Give It Throttle

Best Answer Moggyton , 06 October 2013 - 09:56 AM

More choke, dont start driving until the revs sit at 850 or above with the choke all the way in. Mine kept cutting out and when i started warming it up properly on the drive it was fine Go to the full post

so it's been running nicely and drove well recently.. but my brother thought he'd just floor it (in neutral) while I was trying to look to something.. he stalled it and now any throttle is making it cut out.. when I release the pedal it judders back to life but dies when pressed.. if I manually use the cable it'll rev then die (not come back)
if I video is needed I can get one on YouTube and link it :)
so what could this be?
cheers
sam

How long had it been running for, when it cut out?

it had been running for about 10 seconds the first time.. then I ran it for a good 10 minutes and it still did it..
managed to keep starting it now and it's fine.. gave it a lot of throttle and it's fine.. still cuts out of full throttle but it's probably flooding

How did he stall it if it was in neutral?

Depending on what model you have, if it has them I would check the points & timing
