I was in MiniSport a few months ago and they had some Mini wheels in, replicas of something like an e-type Jag -

They were stunning... Something like £2000 a wheel.

My Japanese export spec. Minilite Mk 11 6x10 alloys with deeper dish ET-15 offset and fitted with Japanese Dunlop R7 Road/Race 165/70x10 tyres with the classic 1960's Dunlop CR65 tread pattern.

For looks, original 3.5" S wheels in old english white. Not bad for handling either.

And if you can find the ultra rare Vortz knock on centre caps too, then I'll die a happy man if I ever see them on a Mini!

The S had 4.5" it was the cooper and the non cooper cars that had the 3.5" wheels ;)

Original Speedwell (if you can even find a set these days) are my second favourite.

My friend had a set of them ^^ in his lockup. They look soo nice, especially when the Speedwell centre caps are fitted!

No it didn't, when announced the S was delivered with 3.5" wheels. The S only had 4.5" as std when the Gp1  car and homologation papers were updated. When the car came out in 63, you could only get 4.5" with factory delivery with R6 tyres.

Why do you think people pay a large amount of cash on ebay for 3.5" S wheels?
