Thank you everyone. :)

im quite happy with the result so far.

Regarding the stainless pipes, i just ordered it at my local boilermaker/smith. and told him i wanted it in lengths an not rolls. it turned up 4 pipes on a 6meter piece of wood. :)

but remember that brass fitting/unions is not good enough. you need steel ones. :)

regarding bending it this nicely, you need a tool stronger then the usual ones, so one of my friends made me one.

IMG_1887_zpsomwludqt.jpg

And now i need to get some "followers" made so i can bend my 8mm petrol pipe.

the ones in it now, is for 5mm pipes, brake pipe.

Petrol pipe

I will soon do a new update :)

Fantastic detail and some really nice touches - the arch fastenings are great.

I surprised you didn't put in the strengthening plates for the roll cage though (although for a road car its probably more than OK).

Thank you both - much apperciated :)

My oncle told me about the fastening, he used it on his car 20 years back, and still works perfectly today. this way i can undo my arches anytime, without rust issues and without removing the tank. very handy :gimme:

regarding the strengthening plates, the car is mainly for road use but might wonna try one or two trackdays. this Mk3 is my lifes project , haha, and dont planning on rooling it over, but i know that's easy to just sit here and say.

I figured that the the plates on the cage would be enough for my use. :)
