My dad owns a White Italian job. After a few winters in the rain some of the bodywork has seen better days. This summer he wants to get it all back to glory (I’ll be touching up my flame red as well. ) one problem, we have no idea what white was used on this model.
Anyone know? Last thing we want is nasty light and dark spots.

Check the paint code on the VIN plate on the inner left wing under the bonnet. Mine was NAL

another thing is the bloke who had the car before us did something... different. Cadbury purple roof, bonnet stripes and arches....
what colour was the roof, bonnet ect originally?

OOOOH hang on My Mini is a 95 Sprite with paint code NAL which is A white, you will need to check yours to be sure. Im sure the Italian jobs were all one colour so if its white it would have been white all over

The italian job white is called (OLD ENGLISH WHITE)

Just to add. The paint code on my car is NAL and the name associated with it is Chawton White.

the white Italian Jobs were Diamond white, this included the roof and mirrors.
All the Italian jobs had white wheels and grille as standard so the white one really are "All White"
they also had Black bumpers as standard and black bonnet stripes with a white edge to them.
you can't see this white edge on the white car but it is there.
