hi there, got myself a garrett turbo off of a jag diesel, dont ask how, loverly and dinky tho, perfect for a 1000! with variable vanes i might add . ive sorted the variable vains but the turbo doesnt have a wastegate, looking on sites an external one is £400+. any ideas on an alternative or cheaper ones?
p.s. i plan to design and manufacture me own manifolds so that wont be a prob.

the words "cheap" and "external wastegate" don't go together. ebay may be your best bet. Tials are good......

i noticed that! any idea on how easy it would be to fabricate one? unsin an old exhaust valve and a nice block of steel?

possibly. i can't say i've ever tried! have a look for some old porsche ones. those boys like upgrading them (and you might get one at a reasonable price...)
