thing about the saxo i guess is thats an 'out of the box' modded car, especially the VTR/VTS, but even the Furio and West Coast were modified styling wise. Mini's are timeless, and even the most hardened of boy racers have a smile (inwards or not) for a mini!!

Even a lightly tuned Mini will *yellow human water* all over a fancy Saxo when it comes to racing.

saxo vtr/s?
no, i raced a 1.6 and lost. I beat him on acceleration at first then he pulled away. But mine is an untuned 1.3 cooper and his was a 1.6 with some minor mods. I kept up a good fight but then he just drove past like i was standing still   but the drive has been done for speeding and is regulary out racing and that was my first time.

believe it or not (i couldn't quite), my little 1098 beat a Civic Type R at nottingham circuit off the lights straight into a 90 deg corner and kept up a fight about 100 yards down the straight, then obviously it went past like i was going backwards. The bloke pulled up later next to me and said well done!

Yea, even with 13"s, you still can't get such a high top end as say, a Saxo, that comes with 14"s as stock.

Oh, and for the record, I was in a stock Cooper last week that left a very expensive Z3 standing, then proceeded to obliterate it.
Needless to say, he wasn't very happy when £XX,000 of BMW got 0wn3d by >£2k of rusty 1980s metal, with 2 people on board. heh heh.
