So here's Vini, a 1980 95L Van.

Pictures below are from the ebay ad, but will add some more as it progresses.

1st job it to rip off the arches and spotlights, put some 10's on it, then crack on with welding a new floorpan into it.

Other than that, it's good for an MOT (well, once I can fit some seats onto the new crossmember), then the project begins!

Not sure if it will stay grey, but it'll certainly be covered in plenty of primer as there is bubbling paint everywhere.

Feel free to post up any pics of mini vans to give me some inspiration!

Mike

Looks like a good base there

thanks Matt. The fact it's all together, and all the electrics work, and it drives and (nearly) brakes is a good start.

I knew the front floors were rotten, so biting the bullet and replacing it all.

cheers

Mike

It'll be for the best in the long run Mike.

Looking forward to seeing some progress soon.

cheers; might tackle the brakes, spots and arches in the next couple of weeks as it's in a queue for welding behind my lad's 1974 mini. That's also having floorpans, so good practice!

Looks good mike! Will be nice when you get it all up together!

Hope these give you some inspiration.

My mates Toms van not long after he got it as a non runner. We got it working after a weekends work. Running a 1380.

Then we painted it in his garden.

Not the greatest job but its used daily!

Then here is my mates Wills van when we went down to Newquay for the riv run this year.

Only problem with both of those are the wheels are way to big haha. Although the orange one is now on cooper brakes so will go on 10s when he gets some wide enough to fill the arches.

yep.

I've put a 10x5 on one of the rears (with the arch off) and MIGHT just get away with that. Just need to get motivated and fit the 7.5" kit up front and put 10's all 'round.

Shame I cant get a 10x6 weller on without arches. Got plenty of them.

not sure what you mean? ... new floor, MOT, then do a rolling resto (paint, parts, engine refurb etc).

oh, and it's off to the Nurburgring in April/May !! Did it in my lad's 998 last year, but he's 17 now so promised I wouldn't drive it anymore in case I bend it. I'll leave that to him!

Just been told as of today the orange one is on 10s! Will look great once down anyway! You going for the same colour when you paint it or something to original? Also don't bit those arches. I may take those off your hands.

Great projekt base you got there, god luck with the resto.

What are those arches called? Seems like the dont quite fit on the front, underneath the bumper or is it just the camera?

Not sure what arches they are, but the front right one is hanging off at the front, hence looks like it doesn't fit.
