Hey!

I just got my new camshaft, but it is a spider drive, and I got a 1991 998cc motor (so slot drive for the oil pump?)

How can I fit this camshaft? Are there any adapters to fit? Or a other oil pump??

grtz!

You need to get a spider drive oil pump and a spider.

Or a different cam.

You may be out of luck:

I think the spiders have been NLA for some time.

I'd give Mini Mail a shout and ask Tim - he is always my first port of call for odd stuff.

For the pre-A+ 998 engines you also need to use a 6mm spacer plate between the block and the oil pump when using spider drive cam.

I don't know if this is the same for A+ 998 blocks, someone else on the forum may be able to confirm.

Errr... why ?

All cams are the same length, regardless of engine size, so why would you need to space the pump ?
You need to space an Auto block.

Because the blocks are different lengths and some had 'thicker' oil pumps
