THROTTLE RETURN SPRING FOR TWIN CARBS

Throttle return springs for all twin carb variants. Usually 3 fitted.
£0.88 exc vat
£1.06 inc vat

12G297
MANIFOLD LOCATING RING

Locating rings originally made for 12G295 heads with twin carbs to line up the inlet manifold to the inlet ports on the cylinder head it found its way on most twin carb factory produced cars. There is a recess in the inlet port on the head and usually the inlet manifold to take these spacers.

£1.10 inc vat

AEG349
THROTTLE BRACKET ON MANIFOLD FOR TWIN CARBS

Accelerator bracket for twin carb models, mounts to inlet manifold.
£3.75 exc vat
£4.50 inc vat

12G292
PIPE TWIN SU CARB TO CARB

original shape of petrol feed pipe for twin HS" carbs as fitted to all the Coopers
£6.88 exc vat
£8.26 inc vat

MSSK009
TWIN CARB LINKAGE KIT

This fitting kit suits all later day 1.25" and 1.5" twin carb set ups where the balance rods between the carbs required are equal length (2.25"), some early carbs had the balance bar with a triangular plate that were a shorter length. The kit has the original type abutment bracket that fits to the inlet manifold to guide the accelerator cable.2 pairs of throttle and choke rod levers and a seperate lever for the accelerator cable. The course thread UNC bolt is for the abutment bracket to manifold but will have to be shortened to the correct length for all our late type manifolds. One lever is also supplied for throttle lever but if you are looking for original HS2 centre rod with balance bar see 12A310.

MSSK1005
HEAT SHIELD STAINLESS STEEL KIT HS2 TWIN CARBS

Stainless steel twin HS2 heatshields kit. Comes with link bar, bolts, nuts and springs.
£16.35 exc vat
£19.62 inc vat

21A2332
PETROL PIPE BRAIDED 5/16" BORE X 2.5"

For 21A2331 pipe. Before the days of Aeroquip, Minis had braided perol pipes. They should be used in place of rubber for all fuel lines where posible. This is 5/16" bore size for the joining pipe on twin tanks using the original pipe 21A2331.
£2.05 exc vat
£2.46 inc vat

SY505071
CARB ELBOW BOLT 5/16" UNC

5/16"unc cap head bolts 7/8"long for attaching the air cleaner alloy elbow to the carb on all HS2/4 and HIF.
£0.32 exc vat
£0.38 inc vat

C-AEG488
TWIN HS2 INLET MANIFOLD

Cast alloy type, this intake manifold for twin SUs (H2, HS2 or H4 -- NOT HS4)

It has been carefully produced to minimize cross-port-flow interference caused by the balance tube and has generous radii in all the right places. Further blending can be done if required, but leave a ground finish to promote fuel atomization. Do NOT polish!

same stud hole distances as origianl AEG347 manifold with 12A661 casting number

as fitted to Coopers

£58.03 inc vat

C-AHT246
RAM STAX HS2 LONG

2.5" long ram pipe for 1.25" SU.

General:

Velocity stacks, or ram pipes, are necessary on SU carburettors for a variety of reasons. Running an SU devoid of anything to regulate air flow around the carburettor mouth creates a constriction. This is caused by air being forced around a 90 degree angled edge immediately prior to the carb mouth, effectively reducing the flow throughout the induction system.

To maximize air flow potential from any SU carburettor, a radiused entry of some sort is essential, especially on single carb applications. While dyno testing vintage racing engines, various styles of radiused entries were used. Although many different lengths and shapes were tried, the features that influenced flow potential most were: radius size, overall shape and bore taper. Using this data we can now supply a range of velocity stacks for 1.25" and 1.5" SU carbs.

Overly long stacks would severly restrict air filter fitment; the loss of 0.5-1 hp due to a shorter velocity stack is far outweighed by the power loss seen after an amazingly short time from running with no filter! The difference may be even less when using a good filter, such as the K&N, which stabilizes the air flow around the carburettor mouth.

The short velocity stacks are for engines putting out power at higher RPM levels (over 7,000) or where space for deep filters is a problem. The long stacks produce better mid-range performance and are generally better for engines up to 7,000 RPM, but a deep (around 3.5") filter is needed. One thing is certain; either stack is a vast improvement over nothing at all or a badly shaped item.

CRK101
FULL HS2 TWIN REBUILD KIT

Master carb rebuild kit

Twin 1 1/4" SU carbs were stock on Cooper S and most Spridgets and are popular upgrades on many cars. The reason they are so popular is that the design is fantastic- but let's face it people; everything wears out and these carbs are no exception. And twin carbs by their application must be pretty close to the same to operate as well as they should. Most of us have done a quicky rebuild (replaced gaskets, etc.) on our carbs over the years. If you have never done your throttle shafts, jets, etc- it is probably past due! Our Master kit provides all the pieces for both carbs and include such things as throttle shaft and bushes, jet tube, needle & seat for floats, all the gaskets and "O" rings, etc. This does it right and completely! It even includes a small service & tuning guide with detailed drawings, etc.
£51.03 exc vat
£61.24 inc vat

All from minispares but I'm sure I've missed something

Cheers james

Wow, that does look good, would twin 1.1/2s be a better bet for my 1380 rather than the HIF44 that i have got on it at the moment, when i got it dynoed it pushed 99 bhp at the flywheel .
