Jizzer is good. If not a good pressure wash, just make sure to dry everything to avoid rust in the bores etc.

The best thing to do is take it to your local engine builder and get it dipped in a hot acid bath.

have a study about electrolosis,,water soda and a battery charger,,you can get perfectly great results for little costs,

and you wont burn your fingers and face off as you could with caustic soda,,, :X

i under stand that the engine builder would be the best way but i have very little money to do the build and i need to buy clutch pullers and a valve compressor aswell as new parts for a standard rebuild so im trying to save £ where i can but i do thank you for your comment

jesus you must have bad ass hackney then,,or just an ugly mother fu ck er lol,,

no not done electroll myself just googled it,,loads of picks,,even full engine blocks became spotless,,

pulllers,,ive used hardwood wedges no probs,,

valve compressors,,a big  g clamp,,fiddly but doable,,better still with two pronds welded on end,,

you can save money in lots of ways,,it just takes longer,,and also can make you feel good,,

Good Luck,, :proud:

+1, if you want to put vanish and a dash of bleach into the mix it won't do any harm,

Just run the dish washer again afterwards with nothing in to clean it through

Or as an alternative, I know your trying to save money but just take a look on ebay for a second hand dishwasher, especially at this time of year you'll get some bargains. And to have it in the garage I've just run the dishwasher off of a hose pipe because you only need a cold water feed and directed the waste down a drain or something.

Might be worth looking at if your gunna be doing a lot of cleaning
