I started with a Grant (American ) wheel with two buttons.  I didn't like the buttons so I added the paddles that came with my "Flat Shifter".  I mounted my paddles to the wheel, so they turn with the wheel.  I have been very happy with this arrangement.  I also have the throttle blipper so I get clutch-less up shifts and down shifts.
