Attached File  mini1.jpg   16.41K   4 downloadsHi I have found a couple of places on the internet who claim to have or to be able to colour match my bodywork on a 1989 Mayfair BLVC 390 CUF Portofino Red.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good company supplying the 400ml spray cans.

Thanks in advance

C.A.R.S
Unit 6, Mirravale Trading Estate Selinas Lane, Dagenham, Greater London, RM8 1QH
Tel:  020 8592 6300

Thats where I've been going for as long as I can remember. Always good service, know their stuff and have other products apart from paint for sale too.

Nightmare spray job, dreaded orange peel finish and paint not quite the same shade. Micro abrasive rub down for me I think.

Got rid of the orange peel finish with cutting paste, however the colour is deffinately not correct. Can't understand as I got the code from the plate. Gutted ,!

The original paint could have faded

Detail the existing paint... Might bring it back to the original shade if faded.

Only way you'll get a true match is a custom mix from a scanned bit of your paint work, your car will have faded over time.

Think you guys are correct. 25 years of fading has taken its toll..

Just found out that it was my fault. I ordered CUF and it should have been COF.
In a way I'm pleased as I only did a small repair so can repaint easily enough. Durrrrrrrr!
