A very quick update, not much has happened - when I say not much I mean nothing!

But I have now finished uni so I've got all summer to play with the mini!

First up is to temporarily fix the chip seen below then give it a proper respray in the winter!

Second is just to fit my cup holder, going to make a bracket to make this sit as pictured without damaging my lower dash!

Hopefully these won't be long!!!! Then it's tax in June and away we go for the summer!!!!!

So small update..

The minivation cup holder as brilliant as it is doesn't fit well with a lower dash rail so today dad started marking a bracket so it will fit correctly!

Hopefully that will mean the cupholder can be fitted any time at all!!

So time for an update

The cup holder has been fitted, works fantastically would 100% recommend

I've started stripping the 1380 down for the rebuild - the SC throttle body kit will be in the shopping basket soon!

Had an intermittent cut out last week which was tracked down to a loose wire on the alternator

I've changed the badges from the red ones to the original metal ones - prefer the colour of the red badge but the metal looks much better than the plastic which had gone all horrible

And that's it for the minute - plan to enjoy the nice weather in it!!

WOW!

Almost 2 years since I've updated this!!

Not much has changed with the mini...

Completed L2B 2017 (mostly) had to be towed 5 miles from brighton all the way home near norwich...

Turned out I had routed the engine bay wiring the wrong side of the crank breather and had caused a direct short on the manifold... All fixed eventually and new cones all fitted 2 weeks before L2B 2018 which I arrived back from yesterday! Made the whole journey this time!!

Looking to the future I'm still planning the 1380 with the specialist components ECU and throttle body

The next task will be some force racing 13's and this winter will be a few tweaks here and there!

I've added some photos of L2B runs below!

Oh, I forgot! I had a pair of the minivation hinges for my birthday last year and after hours (at least 20) of trying to get them to fit so the bonnet would line up correctly I have given up so I have a pair that I'd be willing to sell if anyone is interested!

We watched you arrive @ Brighton, remember your “ unique” plate spacing.

Well of course, I think it’s pretty obviously not legal..

Hi, do you still have the minivation hinges for sale? as I'd like to give them a try.

Hi yeah I do although I can’t access them at moment due to garage extension and quite a bit of mini stuff is in storage - should be able to access in couple of weeks - I’ll give you a PM and see if you’re still interested once I’ve got hem out

They're utter crap. Glad it wasn't just me that found they aren't engineered correctly.

It's such a shame because the idea of them is perfect but they just would not work on the car!
