Thank you guys! Glad you like it.

Scrumpix: Its funny that you asked, i was thinking the same about Uk..
In sweden they are rare. And they say that mine is more rare because of the style and condition even if its far from the finest cooper around..
This summer it was cars passing me on the freeway taking pictures at least four times. People drive past me giving me thumbs up so it is really funny.
Everytime you stop on a gas station elder people is walking upp talking about old Cooper-memories, and wants to sit in it.

But its not meant as a showcar and it got dents and dingies.

I work parttime as a photagrapher so thats why i keep the picturequality high. The cameara costs more than the car.

Hrimfaxi: Thats my Neigbours garage and posters (even if i sometime listen on similar music)

Im more of a techno guy, i Dj and produce electronic music but mostly ambient and drone.

The beast is alive!! It started and sounded great. Yesterday i changed oil and filter and my concern is that when it started no oillamp was lit. But after being on idle for a couple of seconds and small uprevs the red oillamp was lit and kept being so. I couldnt run the engine for a time because i have no radiatorhoses connected. What could this be? Its the right oil but the car was realy cool in the garage? please help!

Sorry guys! The only fault on the mini is his retarded owner. I dont know how i could think that the red chargelamp could be an oilpressure warning..
If u guys excuse me i will go and sodomise myself before i will cary my own cross to golgata.. May the sinner throw the first stone.

The alternator wasnt connedted by the way.. Wroomwrooomwroom!

Its getting there!!! Im just waiting for my package from minisport with a new thermostathousing, thermostat and sandwichplate. Mine was kinda.....
knr2.jpg

Rusty... That litle bolt was stuck.

z3pf.jpg

I even welded a bolt on it and tried.. but i wrecked it totaly. No harm done though. it was only meant to be until i got the new housing.

So i went on with mounting the hoodpins.

n8q0.jpg

i wanted them as far down and out as posible, this was close to too much. But no one remembers a coward.. ;)

05g1.jpg

The i came up with this shape and polished it. Will problably make new ones when my wife have time to make som nice ones in cad. I have a contact that will cut them with water and mirrorpolish them. I will also do seabrackets, many interiordetails and brackets in the enginebay. But i will take that next winter shen i put the engine out for some spa-tretment. :)

9p1a.jpg

But it looks nice anyway.. Kinda race, but with some polish.. Me like. I guess that sometime in the future the shrinkdoctors will come and get me in the garage when im sitting there and polishing bolts and washers with long beard and manic behaviour.

rl5j.jpg

9oh7.jpg

It seems that i forgot to take pictures when the hood was mounted..
But the cool thing is that i might get help with doing a thing that i have dreamt of. Making a hood in carbonfibre with vacummolding (i dont know the English word)
I will also try to make some aircanals in the hood leading to the airfilter.

In sweden we have a carinsurance for hobbycars that is really good. But it comes with some things you have to have:

fire extinguisher in the car

* hidden switch to ignition

* Alarm

and some other stuff..

So i went off buying a fire extinguisher that did seem to fit.

uydq.jpg

And i was right.. snug fit!!!

bbab.jpg

Looks nice and it is mounted safely.

Then we have the f*****g shortshift..............
If i should get a dollar each time i have been taking it out to adjust it to get all 4 gears i would be sitting in montecarlo buying Bill Gates champagne and be laughingabout his pettiness..

But as no such economical help exists i just keep on shutting my mouth and fix it.
Now it works but i bought an Paddy Hopkirk "thingie" that neede to be mounted.
ikcl.jpg

Really nice shortshift... When it delivers 4 gears..

6jir.jpg

Looking good.. Leather and shine is like porn for a greasy soul...

I thought that i would post some nice pictures of the brackets for my electric fan that i bought..

tsyj.jpg
6v5x.jpg

But this is all that i am giving you..... As tthe fan now are laying in a couple of pieces ina corner of the garage..It didnt fit

So i killed it. It seemed to be the rigth thing to do. So i mounted the mechanic fan again so now it sounds like a vacumcleaner again..

wbfp.jpg

Here is my maniflow while i was heatwraping it. But i wasnt happy at all by how it did fit. Really bad alignment of the bolts and the pipe is touching the floor in a place..

 5x1x.jpg

Classic.. simply classic.. but its done now. I have mounted everything now but it is still silly low..

So now i need help..
I am going for 1,5 deg camber in the front but what should the caster and toe be??
In the rear im will go for 1,5-2 deg camber and 0,2 in toe in.

The gazdampers are now from -

rear 16 klicks

front 17 klicks

I really need help with the wheelalignments as i cant get no help in sweden with this. I can coop with brutal camber and whant it to be sporty.

Hi!

I really enjoyed reading your thread. Very entertaining. Your attitude to the work is like mine!!

Looking great though and glad you have it running ok.

Hope the surgery went well!

Keep it up!

If im unlucky its going to be one more but larger surgery further on.. but the car is ready for mot after the wheelalignment.

Over and out..

In the midle of the last summer it looked like this.

dj06.jpg
r49m.jpg

It looks better when it looks like this in march.

0wuk.jpg
egsi.jpg

Its still a bit low in the rear and i had to cut 10mm of the bumpstop in front. to get the right ridehight.

Now i have to install the gastank and do some wiring to the sideindicators, i have no clue in where thy should be connected, anyone know?
