Decided to buy some wheels for the Mayfair for winter and got hold of some reverse rims (or 60's cooper steels, never know what to call them) from a TMF member. Rubbed them down, primed and sprayed silver and fitted them with some bargain 165 70 10 Falkens and put them on the car today. I absolutely love them, I think more than the 6x10 minators! Think they may stay on longer than just the winter. What do you think? Car needs a clean and need to put some tyre dressing on. Impressed with how they've filled the arches too.

Just left the mini with The Mini Hospital.  At 82k miles, I've decided I want the engine to match the looks.  For now, I'm sticking with the Rover ECU although that might change in the not too distant future to a programmable ECU.  I'm having the engine rebored to 1293cc with a 274 cam from Minispares, K+N air filter element and a stage 3 head.  Will be complete before MITP.  Cant wait!  Not expecting masses of power for now but a good base.  I want reliability and a bit of extra power so the spec I've gone for sounds pretty good without breaking the bank (too much).

I agree with you.  I like the cooper rims but much prefer the Minators.  Will keep hold of the cooper rims though.

I have the same car '93 Spi it was in white too - heavily modified now

it has the same grey textile seats that imo are really comfy - I just love them

New engine is great, excellent power delivery and massively different from when it was standard.  I don't do many miles at all, got a couple of other cars and the roads where I live are shocking as its a new development but try and get out in when I can.  Will 100% be at Mini in the park and it did L2B too.
