Well I'm getting closer
Pretty much all done. Speedo was faulty so ordered a cooper s 200kmph speedo which will be delivered Tuesday.
Also ordered an ITG filter and stubstack from MED

Its booked in for its WOF next week (same as MOT) and also for certification. The cert covers the upgrade in engine, brakes, wheels, arches adjustable suspension components etc.
Also ordered another needle as the bdk is too weak on acceleration. Think I might need to customize one though.

Speedo arrived so got stuck in and swapped it over. Turned out to be a fiddly wee job but it all works so I'm pleased.

Gave inside a quick clean also

The med stubstack and Itg filter also arrived so fitted that also

This was a very tight fit down the back to get filter clipped to back plate.

You may notice next to filter is the ignition warning lamp :(
It had fallen off because the metal clip part had separated from the plastic housing. I then managed to drop said clip down back of engine never to be seen again. I will have to stick it in place for now until I get hold of another bulb holder.

I also changed the needle to a BCA as it was running too lean. Bit of tweaking and it seems to be running great.

Just about to adjust brakes and double check everything because its going in for its Wof 7.30 in the morning.

Dropped it off last week for its Wof check and all was good passed

Yesterday went in for its certification inspection for engine change, brake modifications, suspension modifications and wheel/arch modification.
Its a pretty thorough check I must say.
Got a few small things to do to make them happy
Mainly some nuts with less than 2 threads protruding, a couple of lock washers missing and I need to put some heat shield tape on brake line near the lcb .
Also have to supply receipts for all the adjustable suspension arms hilos etc.

Have to wait till Monday for the recheck and then takes 5 days for the cert plate to come which they fix to bulkhead.
Once that's on I'm good to go

Now the annoying part - whilst driving home from the inspection the Bl--dy heater valve exploded.
Had to let it cool down then try and cable tie it back together. Wasn't far from home so filled it up and went for it.Didnt overheat but left a nice trail all the way home.
It was a new valve but Ive had it probably 2.5 years which I guess was when they were selling the crap ones.

Yip all passed just waiting on the cert plate. Been out for a few short runs just to test things Haha.
Gonna need some more soundproofing behind center binnacle as the Itg filter and stubstack is pretty throaty.
Need to get a few kms done before I can open her up a little more.
Bought a Gopro the other day so been playing round with that. I might load up a video later.
You got that clutch sorted yet ?

Awesome, my intake noise is the same, I have 2 MED stub stacks hahaha.
They're awesome little bits of kit.
No on the clutch front, work and being crook have gotten in the way.
Will mess with the setup before replacing any bits......right off to watch ya vid

I had the measuring and machining done at an engine shop down here. They fitted the crank and pistons and I built up the rest. I also did the full recon on the gearbox. Pretty pleased how its turned out.

Well worth the effort, it's reminded me what a great build thread this is.
