Having said that though, I still miss my Mk 1 Golf GTi, wish I had a garage at the time that I could have put it in (it was a good few years ago) and I blame the govt for sending me to sandy and sunny climes to do a spot of Saddam bashing!

This was it when i first got it

 

Interior not much changed just a massive clean !

 

Just horrible wood was taken off gearknob handles and dash console

Bought some 18" Fifteen 52 Alloys easy swap no rubbing problems just some curbing to fix in the summer

 

Thinking new spacers front and will line up quite well

Modified my foot rest with the red GTI tape that was originally black offebay with TT Pedal covers replacing old black rubber ones also .

 

Rear camber think a bit more later this year

a few nice mods already done then anni front valance bora vents, Anni headlights? (or could be the angle of the photo).

good choice on the wheels much nicer.

not sure mate was done before new to all these vw parts got no idea whats anni or not ?? going to do r32 bumpers and exhaust system . just looks cleaner i think. and new coilovers as the ones on have been on ages ! Wheels need refurb when clean set the car off nicely

Had ABS Light on which turned out to be wheel sensor (£5) after taking a while to get it out ... tear it out anyway done and swapped no light on dash error code gone

 

Just replaced the breather hoses off the rocker cover

 

Before See the little bodge to hose as had tear .

I see your old Mini is up for sale again on Gumtree. Buy it back?

 

My supercharged Cooper Sport went down to Hertfordshire. I'm in the process of selling all my Mini stuff and moving on. 

 

I took an '07 BMW Mini Clubman S for a test drive at the weekend....really nice! I was surprised by the insurance quote, nearly the same as my '97 Cooper 1.3 Mpi.

 

 The Golf is looking good. Crack on!

haha he has used my advert as his! everything he has put on it is what i said to him .. he knows absolutley nothing about mini's and he hasn't done any of that work himself me and my dad did it , he has only had it 2 month. going back to honda's knew he wouldnt keep it long. i wouldnt pay 3k for it only 2.5k max(What i was selling it for) needs body work and paint doing . Rant over haha i want a weekend toy or im planning track/drag mini dont want daily

only mini i would buy would be my first mini L94 CTY see that for sale let me know !   .

 

Yer ive still got bits to sell enjoying the Golf nothing better for motorway storming but may be selling for a tdi at the end of the year to lower insurance and better Mpg
