I see your old Mini is up for sale again on Gumtree. Buy it back?

My supercharged Cooper Sport went down to Hertfordshire. I'm in the process of selling all my Mini stuff and moving on.

I took an '07 BMW Mini Clubman S for a test drive at the weekend....really nice! I was surprised by the insurance quote, nearly the same as my '97 Cooper 1.3 Mpi.

The Golf is looking good. Crack on!

Cant believe that. Alex selling out to a BINI :o Insurance is stupid for me.....200bhp sport hatch is same price as a 1ltr micra. Ive had afew different cars lately, now got a diesel civic and the insurance is the same still.

haha he has used my advert as his! everything he has put on it is what i said to him .. he knows absolutley nothing about mini's and he hasn't done any of that work himself me and my dad did it , he has only had it 2 month. going back to honda's knew he wouldnt keep it long. i wouldnt pay 3k for it only 2.5k max(What i was selling it for) needs body work and paint doing . Rant over haha i want a weekend toy or im planning track/drag mini dont want daily

only mini i would buy would be my first mini L94 CTY see that for sale let me know ! ;D  .

Yer ive still got bits to sell enjoying the Golf nothing better for motorway storming but may be selling for a tdi at the end of the year to lower insurance and better Mpg

I seen the mini come back up. Lee peacock shared the link with me on facebook as I was thinking of buying another at the weekend, but soon changed my mind. Stick to the plan, 1 really mint one and enjoy it. Rather than projects/parts all over at the same time.

Insurance on my golf is quite high so thinking of getting a cheap petrol, decent diesel and save up .. completely agree as there's no garage projects for me for a while want to do it properly . fancy buying bog 1275 and turn into track/drag car doesn't matter about rust, electrics, brakes etc just power and no weight :whistling:  always temptations tho ha

mine drops significantly like half if i get 1.6 or less

my quotes are only pounds apart from a 1ltr to a 3ltr

Im insured with Brentarce and basically have a upper limit for bhp (300bhp rings a bell), so most cars are covered for the same price.

Ha-ha...there's nothing wrong with using the previous owners specification list! I've done that...saves time!

Yeah Jordie, I can't believe it myself! Me, driving a BINI???....it's 10 years of A-series exhaust gases and oil that's made me do that!

I'm thinking along the lines of you guys here, keep my Mini 40 for shows/sunny weekend drives rather than juggle 3-4 classic (1 daily driver / 1 reserve daily driver) and parts everywhere!

I think the insurance is slightly cheaper because it's an old granny BINI 1.6 Cooper S estate.  My '97 Mpi Cooper is on a classic policy and this costs another £80 or something!!! I 'might' have a BINI by next week! ;D

Ha Alex its alright when you know what it means !!

mine is 4 figures at the moment for the 1.8T and like £400-500 for things like a bini cooper 1.4 1.2 tdi's etc etc or smaller engined.(Mod's are declared...this time )

Sounds like a plan alex best way i reckon to concentrate on one rather than a garage full haha

Good ol' Golf's. Used to have a Mk3, weren't a bad little car. Mk5's can look pretty good; people do some crazy things like pop Bentley rims on 'em. Here's a few of my old girl just in case you fancied a look.

Saw the golf on your drive other day when I passed, took a diversion from the grid locked A1.

It had a maaaad exhaust note to it. I've gone to an 80's Merc now so not really dub as such, feel like I'm past hatchbacks now in a way. I refurbed those wheels just before taking these pictures, was a long job.

Yeah, makes sense! Don't slate 'em until you have owned a BINI. They have a few faults just like the classic Mini.

I purchased a BINI Clubman S a few weeks ago. The stereotypical comments are funny.

Buy one...don't like it...sell it!
