Yeah, makes sense! Don't slate 'em until you have owned a BINI. They have a few faults just like the classic Mini.

I purchased a BINI Clubman S a few weeks ago. The stereotypical comments are funny.

Buy one...don't like it...sell it!

exactly wasn't keen at first but they have grown on me ! hopefully get one sorted in the coming months and the project thread will be longer than the gold haha think It was a moment of madness !!

what cars don't have faults ! yer I can forsee those comments too but nearly all of the NEMC  have both so no problems in the club

I hope I wont be selling it .

I never hated the BMW Minis...just had that old fashioned classic Mini attitude towards them! ;D

They have grown on me too over the last few years! So much so that I took the plunge and purchased an odd looking BINI Clubman!!!

Yeah, I remember when BINI's started arriving in the NEMC back in 2003/04.

Give me a shout if you want to have a look/drive out in the Clubby before you buy a BINI.

Yeah, folk will hate. Tell them to buy one and then comment! ;D

What's the colour?

I spent a few days cleaning my Clubby, the paintwork was machined polished, carpets vax washed, leather seats steam cleaned....still doing bits each weekend.

I like my Clubby because you don't see many about.

You will get more appreciation on a BINI forum where owners respect both old and new. ;-)

Keep it standard for now and enjoy driving it.

Blowing the cobwebs of this thread. And TMF for that matter. So where are we.

The R53 lasted till October 2015. Great handling car with plenty power. However failed its MOT and was beginning to show her age. Got pretty much what i paid for it though so didn't lose too much. Stayed stock with the exception of Some badges and light bits and bobs.

The thirst, lack of boot and MOT bill made me think about keeping it any longer and in the end decided to sell up. Having moved house and travelling further to work it was just impracticable.

Bought a Seat Ibiza Fr 1.4 Eco Tsi. Like it a lot and will keep her a long time i think.... famous last words. May start thread on it but who knows.

Back on the scene just to check out what is around with the intention of buying a classic mini as a project for the garage. No daily for me thats the ibiza's job. Way of snapping anything up but keeping my eyes peeled.

You've had all the recalls done on the Ibiza?

The small twin-charged engines on those things were utterly terrible for blowing up, some of the Cupra owners were on their third engine inside 100k  O_O  O_O
