fair enough, I thought both the Cupra and FR were twin-charged.

 

You still need to keep an eye on oil consumption, some owners have noted sky high consumption (1 litre per 1000 miles)

Seat even have a specific test to quantify if you are burning too much oil.

 

Have you read through the in-depth fault list here?

 

I believe it's mostly stuff that effected earlier Mk5 models, but worth keeping an eye out for if someone does appear odd.

Having read up they were at one point then it was phased out on the cupra and they fitted the 1.8tsi engine. Not sure on 1.4 tsi fr. My Mrs has a 1.2 fr 66 plate and again it has no supercharger. Engine looks identical to mine .

 

Mine definitely only has a turbo. I check it time to time but it doesn't really drop much. 

 

Ive seen it but being one of the last made and a different engine i dont think i will see many of those issues as a main concern.

 

Its like any car they have their quirks and faults .
