Not sure if anyone actually reads this, so will just put up some pics, I forgot to take pics of half of the stuff I've done:

All these extra panels I didn't account for are all adding up.

So I've managed to get a few hours in this week while the sun was out, found out I need a new bulkhead X member:

Just another bodge from a previous person:

Cut out the bodge:

Spent way too long making a repair panel, decided the passenger doesn't need fresh a air feed haha:

2020 is just not the year, broke my mini mug I've had for nearly 8 years:

Ended up nearly replacing the whole of the inner wing panel, so probably should have just spent the £180 on a new one, saying that i probably saved over £100 on it:

Planned to get a lot done today as the weather was lush, cut out most of the old window surround, was just getting rid of the roof gutter bit when I slipped and cut my finger.

Wont be able to do much for a while as cant work in bad weather and I'm about to start a new job.

Shame about your finger buddy!! I've just whizzed through your project to bring me up to speed, look forward to the future updates,.. the shell is coming along nicely, just the sort of thing i need to see to get my backside into gear and work on my own mini.

Nice fabrication work. Keep it up. I’m a relative newcomer to a full resto, before ow I’ve Always just done what was necessary to get them roadworthy.
Watching with interest as mine has needed a fair bit more than I thought whenI got it.

Thanks for the kind words. I know what you mean, I thought there was only a few things that needed sorting, but it turns out it was most of the car haha

Not planning anything major yet

Think we all set out with that intention, but somehow it grows into a full rebuild

It’s interesting reading this, I think I’ve read it over on Turbo minis as well?

Anyway, might seem super strange, but my interest in this car started in 2014, I was parked next to you in Crystal Palace, I think you might have been with your dad possibly?

Anyway, whenever I see your car pop up it makes me think back to 2014, when my crappy old 1275 SPI overheated the whole way to Brighton, my misses got us lost, my new 10” wheels scrubbed on every roundabout and we had to have the heater on full blast on the hottest day of the year so the thing didn’t boil over!

Looks like you’re putting some hard work in here and I look forward to seeing it pay off.

Yeah I originally had it on turbo minis, its now my brothers mini van on that topic now.

Haha yeah that was my first L2B I was with my Dad you're right, feels like so long ago now. Your trip sound so relatable haha.

Thank you!
