I found it! Yours looks great in the photo, makes me miss mine! I sold it back in May of 2015 - I finished uni and got a job and so I was to be commuting around 45 miles a day and didn't want to worry about the ~25mpg fuel consumption. I sold the E30 and got an 05 Volvo S60 D5, which was an awesome mix of economy and speed. I got a bit bored after 18 months of that and then went back to a sillier-mpg car with an 01 Boxster. Now after 6 months I've got a job even further away (around 80 miles a day I'll be doing) so I've bought an 04 Mercedes E320 CDI, which is halfway between the Porsche and the Volvo in terms of fuel economy and speed.

Well with that unrequested and impromptu history lesson over, if you wanted to read more about the E30 (well actually this thread was only one post behind) then click here - http://retrorides.pr...30-325i-touring

As Ben_O mentioned, I bought a Citroen CX as my next 'old car' project, which is almost done and I'm close to selling that now. http://retrorides.pr...ro-cx-trd-turbo

My next project I am yet to make any serious progress on, which can be found here... http://retrorides.pr...72-jaguar-xj12l

I'm still driving my Mini too, but just enjoying that for now before I move on to the next stage with it!

Thats a shame, but I'm glad you have continued your love for old cars with the Citroen and of course the Mini!

I do like Volvo D5's and T5's, I might replace my Eunos with one one day, when I feel like getting something a bit more practical! The E30 is here to stay though I think. If I ever replace it, it will most probably be with another 80's BMW, but I genuinely don't think that day will come. I love this one and the old guy I bought it from has taken a keen interest in my progress with it, which makes the restoration all the more rewarding!  :proud:

My thread is here - https://forums.overc...t-log.18769833/ I am known as someone who is a bit of a moron and is terrible at buying cars on this particular forum, which will hopefully help with the context of some replies on there...

I haven't embarked on any welding yet. I have never learned to weld... How much experience do you have? I'm tempted to buy a mig and get on with it. After all, the worst that can happen is that I do an awful job and pay someone to do it anyway right?! The front footwell/jacking cups, and the rear boot floor by the towing eye need doing.

I'll have a look through your other threads. I've never paid much attention to old Citroens so I am curious. Are they the ones with hydraulic suspension?
